2025 Art in the Park
Opens Mar 27 2025 12:00 AM (EDT)
Deadline May 23 2025 12:00 AM (EDT)
Description

Art in the Park takes place in Lackawanna County parks outdoors, under a pavilion and/or tent. Each visual artist will have their own picnic table space. Performing artists can stroll or station themselves in the grassy areas. There may also be additional tents available. Activities that work best are come-and-go/ immediate hands-on interactive activities. Simple works best - but they should also be fun and interesting. Use your imagination! Think inexpensive, creative and easy for your supplies.

The rate of pay is $175 per day for Performing Artist and $200 per day for Visual Artist/Table Artist (must purchase own supplies for 125 children). The County takes a minimum of 30 days for payment, and artists must provide a W-9 form and an invoice for payment.

Proposals are reviewed by Art in the Park committee. If selected, you will receive an email stating which art activity was selected for a specific park.  We are planning to notify artists in mid June.

If interested, you must complete this application on-line.

Artist will be required to provide proper clearances and child abuse forms. If you need to apply for these clearances, check the appropriate box in the eligibility area. Contact us at gabellom@lackawannacounty.org first or 570.963.6590, ext. 3176 with any questions, or if help is needed to secure the clearances.
